Welcome to Surpride Tokyo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and your participation in the car experiences and tours we operate (“Tours”). By booking a Tour or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Our Service
Surpride Tokyo Inc. (“Surpride Tokyo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) offers guided ride-along experiences in authentic Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles. On our Tours, you ride as a passenger while a professional driver operates the vehicle.
2. Bookings and Approval
All bookings are made through our website and are subject to our approval.
After you submit a booking, we will review and confirm it, normally within 2 business days.
Once your booking is approved, payment must be completed within 24 hours to secure your reservation. If payment is not completed within this time, the booking may be released.
A booking is confirmed only once it has been approved and paid for.
3. Pricing and Payment
Tour prices are shown on our website and are charged per person, based on the car and plan you select.
Unless stated otherwise, prices include highway tolls and fuel.
Payments are processed securely through our payment provider, Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards.
The final price is calculated on our servers at the time of booking, and that is the amount that applies.
4. Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Shows
You may cancel your booking by contacting us directly. The following cancellation charges apply, based on how far in advance you cancel relative to your Tour date:
3 or more days before the Tour: no charge (full refund of any amount paid).
2 days before the Tour: 50% of the Tour price.
1 day before or on the day of the Tour: 100% of the Tour price.
If you do not arrive at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time, it will be treated as a same-day cancellation and the full Tour price will apply.
5. Participation Requirements
You take part as a passenger; no driver’s license is required.
Minors (under 18) may join only when accompanied by a participating adult who is responsible for them.
For everyone’s safety, we may decline participation to anyone who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who is unable to follow safety instructions.
6. Safety and Conduct
During the Tour, you agree to:
follow all instructions from our driver and guide at all times;
wear a seatbelt and remain seated while the vehicle is moving;
not interfere with the driver or the operation of the vehicle; and
not engage in any illegal, dangerous, or disruptive behavior.
We reserve the right to end a Tour early, without refund, if a participant behaves in a way that endangers safety or breaches these Terms.
7. Assumption of Risk
Our Tours involve riding in high-performance vehicles. While safety is our priority and our drivers are experienced professionals, you acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks. By joining a Tour, you accept these risks to the extent permitted by law.
8. Changes or Cancellation by Us
We may change, reschedule, or cancel a Tour due to weather, road conditions, vehicle availability, safety concerns, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If we cancel a Tour and it cannot be rescheduled to a time that works for you, we will provide a full refund of the amount you paid.
We are not responsible for other costs you may incur (such as travel or accommodation) in connection with a changed or cancelled Tour.
9. Photography and Media
We may take photographs or video during Tours for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be featured, please let us know before or during your Tour and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
10. Personal Belongings
You are responsible for your personal belongings during the Tour. We are not liable for items that are lost, damaged, or left behind, except where required by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Surpride Tokyo’s total liability arising from or relating to your participation in a Tour or your use of our website is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Tour. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Surpride Tokyo and may not be used without our permission.
13. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We will post the current version on our website with an updated date.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your participation in a Tour will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Tokyo, Japan.
